Dr. Everett Young is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery. He grew up in Athens before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergraduate, medical school and a master’s in public health. He completed his residency at Orlando Health in Orlando, FL. Dr. Young completed his fellowship in adult reconstruction at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
He has clinical interests in direct anterior approach hip replacements as well as total and unicompartmental (partial) knee replacements. He is also specialized to treat periprosthetic fractures, and complex and revision joint replacements. Dr. Young is trained in minimally invasive techniques and enabling technologies, including robotics. He provides individualized care to each patient through his philosophy to provide patients the best possible outcomes by tailoring care to each patient’s specific goals and needs, from non-operative management to surgical treatment and recovery.
Dr. Young enjoys building strong relationships with his patients, helping them through their recovery, and being a part of their journey to better health and return to the activities that they enjoy. He is set apart by his attention to detail, commitment to quality and safety, and treatment of each patient with the same dedication that he would give to his own family members.
Outside of work, Dr. Young enjoys hiking, diving, kayaking, snow skiing and BBQ meat smoking. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Savannah, and their Australian Shepherd, Whitney.
