Nayeli Alcantar is a certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery, predominantly practicing in the clinic and hospital setting. In clinic, she evaluates, diagnoses, and treats hip and knee arthritis and fractures. Nayeli interprets diagnostic studies, performs joint procedures, and assists with the patients’ preoperative and postoperative recovery.
Nayeli attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science and kinesiology. After working as an exercise physiologist at an outpatient physical therapy clinic, she continued her education, obtaining a Master of Medical Science degree in physician assistant studies at Mercer University in Atlanta. Nayeli is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants.
Nayeli lives in Atlanta with her boyfriend and two dogs, Vini and Ace. She enjoys being outdoors on the BeltLine with her pups, watching soccer games, trying new restaurants around the city, and traveling with her friends and family.
